You can educate yourself by using Google and asking yourself questions until they're answered. I'd suggest to disregard Twitter totally, and focus on reading professional sources and watching educational documentaries.

@nicholasrickhoff2912 No, the Emancipation Proclamation was a military strategy constructed by Abraham Lincoln before the Battle of Antietam, and enacted afterwards.

@celiawelia1 I see! That sounds pretty cool. I didn't either because it's not a national holiday, lol. Although I know enough about the Civil War and the Reconstruction era. If you're looking for more info on Africans in general, I'd really start with Africa and the start of slavery because everyone seems to totally ignore major details in history.

Lawrence Baba You’re very arrogant and ignorant. Slavery started in ancient Egypt (along with Sumer) which is the first recorded civilization. But even before that, slavery was always common...it’s human nature. There no such thing as “Caucasians” creating slavery. That’s not even the right terminology to use for the whole of Europe, when the Caucasus is a region. Please educate yourself properly.

@celiawelia1 Really XD What kind of documentaries do they share? And what kind of topics and papers do they share? I'm very curious.

@AbrahamLincoln4 The start of the Civil War was not to end slavery...it was about the right to expand slavery. The Kansas-Nebraksa Act gave the right to have a democratic vote to allow slavery or not in those territories, which repealed the Missouri Compromise years before, thus kept the peace and gave everyone security. So, the Civil War in general is a misconception on what is was really about in the first place: allowing the right to vote in having slave states, not ending it.

Lawrence Baba We don’t know who killed Epstein, and it’s not even important. There is footage of a plane that hit the pentagon during 9/11 from a security camera. Again, use the internet and do your research.

It was Kentucky and Delaware that held out till the bitter end.

@nicholasrickhoff2912 The Union was losing a ton of soldiers and morale during the campaign; his strategy was to cause chaos and bring the slaves to be used as soldiers for more support.

chrissy love Every American is included in Independence Day...not just white people. Thanksgiving was celebrated by the pilgrims in 1621 when they massacred a few native tribes. It's a national holiday that I never cared for. You were doing fine until you had to be extreme and say "devils" to end your argument. Try to not use insults to get your point across, it'll sound more professional :)

Lawrence Baba What does that even mean?
1
@T F What are you trying to learn? Black history in general?

I'm sure Abraham Lincoln being a racist is not in there either. Or the fact that the Emancipation Proclamation didn't actually free slaves until the end of the war.
1
Abraham Lincoln It’s exactly what I said, it didn’t free the slaves, it only freed African Americans in the South or liberated areas by the North, so then they could go back to the North and fight for their freedom. The Battle of Antietam was the deciding factor to use that strategy, and that battle was a stalemate; if the Union lost that campaign, then the Europeans would’ve acknowledged and helped the Confederacy in the war. But the Emancipation Proclamation didn’t apply to the border states anyway, Lincoln didn’t want to provoke them because they didn’t secede. So what? The North liberated many regions.

Afro Mamba How so? Do you not like facts? You do know that everyone has flaws, right? Abraham Lincoln being a homosexual (look up Joshua Speed), and learning from his racist ways over time is something I admire. But we also can’t ignore the truth, either.
1
@Bob-hi2xh I'm sure the Mexcian-American War was an easy win for the US.
1
@Lawrence Baba Lol, you're exaggerating. You could easily educate yourself by using the internet. Everyone is too lazy to actually put in time to do the research.
1
@Lawrence Baba There's obviously an explosion caused by an object. Over 200 people died. What does that have to do with Pennsylvania, when the Pentagon is in DC?
1
I'm excited for a war, dude!
