Hadrian Gonzalez I went to a community college, then I went to NJCU and studied Art. I’m from New Jersey.
I feel sad for you if you really think college is superior than doing research on your own time. Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, History, Art History, Theology, etc, is all useless when learning in a formulated environment, based on a number of linear classes (semesters) and a time schedule. You’re limited to sets of rules and regulations that stop your growth and potential of knowledge. Therefore, most of the info you’re given, is based on propaganda and biased agendas by what your professor/adjunct writes on their syllabus.
The faculty at my school were toxic and competitive, my art teachers forced their own agenda and style down everyone’s throat. They were manipulative and perfectionists, and most of them work/live in New York, which is why they’re full of arrogance and ignorance.
You could’ve simply asked my opinions and philosophy on what I think about schooling, judging me on my “mental well-being” and if I went to an actual college, is a pathetic insult. Not all teachers are bad, and not everything you learn is bad, but if you want to mature and evolve, you have to put in the effort and initiative to really be open-minded.
