  1. Great info! When I built my 18RG the oil pump was basically the same as an 18RC pump but with a pump body spacer and wider drive and driven "rotors" (that's what they called them in the factory manual), or gears. Keep up the good work!

  2. +driving 4 answers (mr2 mk1 hero) I built that motor when I was in college for Auto Tech back in '99. It was going to go into a '76 Celica GT, but life happened. I still have the factory Mikuni Solex carbs for it though. They have official Toyota parts tags on them, and will go on a Toyota engine some day. I got the motor from a junkyard here in Aberdeen, WA, USA for $50 because they didn't know what it was and honestly I'd never seen one either. I just had to pull it myself, which went really well.
