  2.  @Vysair  I don't think it's ideology. The ideology on both sides is money. This is about sharing of power. Why should Taiwanese give up control when some still dream of taking over China again? The Taiwanese politicians are just as corrupt as CCP. Their ex-president was just released from jail. By giving up power they risk losing all their own privilege and benefit.
