  14.  Cheng-Tso Hsieh  You are confused. There are three entities. PRC, ROC and China. US "acknowledge" Taiwan is part of China and PRC is the sole legal representative of China. Son if ROC defeated PRC, then they will be the new representative. This is the same language in the UN.
