@nueat6 Not any more. They are moving back to China. Reason: supply chain, corruption in India and poor quality work. India has a poor habit of seizing foreign firm's money. Koreans also left. All assets these companies left behind were sold to Tata (Modi's friend) penny on the dollar.

@Hkchinese888 Actually quite a lot. My understanding is about 55% of the paper published came from China.

@Hkchinese888 How about they lead in 37 out of 44 technologies and have 13 schools in top 50. LaForge 9top French mathematician) is now working for Huawei. And 4000 scientists returned to China in the last two years to teach. This includes Microsoft's exVp, a top AI guy. BTW, do you know what univeristy do after completion of research? They published paper. Yes those paper include Thorium reactors that can eat nuclear waste and produce more energy. Very useful toilet paper. US wish they can have toilet paper like that.

@KnightSlasher This is not about jobs. It is about investment. Example, The famous Chinese owned Tik tok. The company is owned 20% by the founders and 55% owned by VC including Oracle and Walmart. The Biden statement is misleading. In any way, this won't make a difference because a lot of Middle East money is coming in. The question is what are GM and Tesla going to do. Half their business is in China.
4
Not a few thing . According to ASPI they lead in 37 of 44 critical technology. In 6 G it is now a virtual monopoly.
3
@breadnewbie6326 I must have read it wrong then. I thought US is ahead in semiconductor equipment and semiconductor. But anyway it is an interesting report.
3
@@tonyl7337 Yes a developing country with its own space station, fastest super computer hypersonic missle that US does not have and many more According to ASPI (an Australian research firm) China lead in 37 of the 44 critical technology. THe DoD is forced to buy sanctioned DJI drones cuz they have no alternative. US would love to be a developing country like China.
3
@parislondonbranch.....149 You should. After being sanctioned 4 years ago, Huawei now has their own chip and OS. Sales jumped 76% last quater YtY.
3
@breadnewbie6326 Yes the rest is US. You will needto read the full report. Some leads are narrow and some are huge. Example China is so far ahead in 6G, it is basically a monopoly.

@daelundrumavidem8033 Fun facts. G7 are all former imperialist and BRICS are all mineral rich country all exploiated by imperialist (except Russia)
2
@alfiey5783 And they would use it too.
2
Nobody iscrying. We are just amazed by the ignorance.
2
Not exactly no impact but China can overcome it. Huawei just recorder 75% jump in smartphone sales. 4 years after the sanction, Huawei now has its own chip and OS. And they are back in business. The losers are Qualcom and Android. Qualcomm lost its largest customer and Android is not getting any update.

@johnsonjohnny2879 Tiktok is owned 52% by US VC incliding Oracle and Walmart.
1
You are talking about a country that prosecute a Chinese student for IP theft because he emailed a mid-term exam to China. Retards.

They are out of ammo and they need the antimony and gallium that China controlled to make ammo and missle.

By not allowing companies to use more advanced technolgy. Example Birin's BR100 is 3X faster than A100 but they can't go to production. SMIC has a 7nm process. It is not mature yet (low yield), but they will get there in two years or less.
