  2. Your experience overseas will be base on your mindset and values. The lifestyle you seek will determine your monthly budget. Learn to enjoy your yourself instead of trying rush through life. Everything usually works out in the end even when things move at a slower pace. No matter where you live there will always be a trade off. Before moving to a province in Thailand, I made sure they could manage my ongoing medical problems. He meant 22 Celsius which equals 71.6 Fahrenheit. Plenty of run down shacks, Waters drawn from a creek or a community pump, Out houses with squat toilets, More power outages. No air-conditioning in many villages, Very poor internet, Hospitals too far away in case of an emergency. Harder to acquire general items needed to live daily life as an expat, Etc... Most foreigners can't live the village lifestyle in the Philippines unless very close to a city to make up for the lack of amenities. That's why I say the infrastructure in the Philippines provinces (villages) is less developed when compared to Thailand. This assessment is base in 31 years of experience of traveling with staying up to date with research and facts. No one should accept my word as truth. They should do their own research. I am enjoying life too much to waste on a pointless debate that will not change my mind. You have a right to your opinion based on your life experiences. I wish you the best of luck.

  4. I retired to Thailand in 2013 to a province. Its fairly easy to do a comparison between the two using You tube. Traveling since 1993 I have visited the Philippines on several occasions including other countries. All one has do is use power of the internet to gain the knowledge needed.
