Russia / Soviets even before WWII lead the world in tank design. Nothing suggests things have changed. Autoloader is of course the way of the future. Same as 3 or 2 or even 0 man crew. Maintenance argument is a joke - you just move the 4th man to maintenance company. The less pp in the tank the better. 3 was picked b/c they are afraid, like in T-34, that gunner and commander roles should not be joined as it would create problems. T-14 is the lead of the next generation of tanks. Its main problem is price & that its not so easy to "debug" all issues in a new tank - and its still "new". 152mm was already fitted on a tank - ISU-152 is a turretless tank / assault gun. Made in Soviet Union. As for zoom level - come on - we already had this stupid talk with cameras where a handheld had like 30mb pixel count and sensor you could not see, DSLR cost 10x as much had only 15mb pixel count but huge sensor. T-14 has better sensors then Abrams as they are 1 generation ahead - Abrams is lagging behind other NATO tanks. 50x zoom is useless if you cannot see anything past zoom level 10 ;) Given that ballistic computer on Abrams is, well, behind other NATO it is safe to say Armata has better one - I mean what do you expect, they used same model as in T-72 upgrades ;) Of course it is empty talk as both tanks would engage at close range of around 3km - I hope we can agree that both can see each other from that distance. Price of Armata is at least 8m per unit. Weaknesses include mostly teething problems, such as issues with the engine. But price is #1.
