Comments by "" (@tomk3732) on "Ukraine's "Lost Army" what happened to its 780,000 troops?" video.
In 2014 Russia did not defeat Ukraine in Crimea - that would imply combat. Only 1 soldiers was killed by accident. 80% of the military joined ... Russia (!!!). Ukrainian army joined Ukrainian state by rotting from within. Nothing to special. How could Ukraine afford military if it could not afford paying old age pensions?

LOL. We shall see soon. I don't think it will be much of a fight, but I hope at least it will be a touch more then Crimea.

@supkoopertttt8777 Actually my hopes did happen - it is indeed touch more then Crimea. At least they are resisting in the cities. Through if there is indeed only 150k Russians plus 50k militia its as per my comment not much more. So I think I predicted things well.

Spot on. Given non existing budget making sure these nukes don't get stolen would have killed them financially. Imagine the Taliban buying say a dozen nukes from defunct Ukraine (!) Imagine nuclear 9/11. It was far better for everyone, including Ukraine, to get rid of this stuff.

@UcranianoUKR Maybe, but still could not really afford it plus more nations having it would be an issue. Imagine today with Ukraine having nukes! Its a good thing they do not.

@marcussanchez4278 Nah, Moscow always had nuclear defense - even in the 80s - this was part of a treaty they signed with US that capital cities can have ICBM defense. US did not implement theirs back in the day.
