  1. Check the numbers. The value of those materials is measured in the millions of dollars per year, globally. That’s millions with an “m.” The numerous multibillion (with a “b”) dollar companies that use those materials should have each been smart enough to keep a big enough stash of those materials in storage to avoid any significant disruption for a good long time, more than long enough to bring alternate supplies online. We’ll see if that’s true, but the dearth of any signs of panic from any of the players in the relevant highly interdependent industries so far says it’s likely a non-issue.
