  1. You can add an extra healthcare tax to some specific things, like cigarettes, alcohol, and junk food, if you want. Riding a motorcycle, or driving a vehicle, still has its own vehicle insurance, and it's usually the fault of the other driver, not the motorcycle driver.

  2. McCarthyism, the Big Red Scare, the Cold War, ... US politics moved totally right of centre. So many have been brainwashed into thinking anything socialized leads to Stalinism, or something similar. Especially the ones who also believe the US is of purely moral intentions, that it's the best country, need to keep believing this, or it makes many things the US has done in the world immoral.

  5. No. Our hospitals in Ontario aren't owned by the government. They are owned and operated by non-profit corporations, though. Hospitals, in the US, are still classified as public accommodations, even though they're privately owned.

  7. An expanded Medicare for all would include needing more people to run it. Not as many as multiple private insurers requires, but still more than it currently requires.
