The math isn't the same, on the left end of the party. There are zero extra out of party votes in the neighborhood of the squad, and zero extra votes to the left of them. There are some 40 extra Republicans with ideology voting scores similar to the 20 most right wing Dems in the house, and then there is the entire rest of the Republican party to the right of them. There are more votes to be lost, or gained, to the right.

@kevinstfort Not if the bill is amended to the right, and picks up enough Republican votes to pass. That was the point, dimwit. There's no way to move a bill further left, if you lose the right wing party members, but there is a way to move a bill further right, and not need left wing members.
