They're using the US Manifest Destiny model. Settlers move into native territory, or do something else to piss off the natives, the natives react, sometimes with violence, then the settlers act like the victims, call in the cavalry, who then ethnically cleanse the natives from the area, and then the US borders expanded. It took over a hundred years, but was very effective.

@michaelbeason8856 It seems I didn't say they pioneered simply expanding borders. So, shove your strawman. If you don't see the similarities between Manifest Destiny, the belief that a god had destined certain people to settle all of America, and the belief that Israelites are a god's chosen people, who gave them a holy land, that's destined to be theirs again, I don't know what to say. There is also a similarity in exact method. Most border expansions, and conquest, involved conquering a land and ruling over its people, which is why genocides, and ethnic cleansing, are treated somewhat differently. They aren't the norm. Just blathering about border expansions doesn't reflect the exact method of expansion. Moving settlers out into native territory, acting like a victim when you're attacked, then ethnically cleansing the area and expanding your borders, over, and over, and over, for over a hundred years, isn't even some standard method of ethnic cleansing. Attila just plowed through other territories pushing massive populations of Goths ahead of him. No feigning a willingness to live side by side in peace with the Goths. No acting like the victim of Goth aggression. If you have a better example of something more similar, I'm all ears.

Ashwin Varghese Rofl. How did people who hadn't lived there in almost 2000 years still count as "natives"? That's like saying my descendants have a right to go claim half of the British Isles, in another 1500 years, because they're "natives". Stupidity has many logical flaws.

You appeared to have been defending the notion that it's slander to call occupiers, colonizers, ethnic cleansers, "oppressors". The US has sanctioned Pakistan a number of times. How many times has Israel been sanctioned?

@spaceman9599 That can be one of the larger Indian Wars, that happened now and then, and the British mandate can be colonial times under the British, and the bombing of the King David hotel, and other terrorist acts by the Irgun and Lehi, can be the war of independence from Britain.

@KnowledgeXYZYT Yeah, but the Spanish and Portuguese didn't really act like poor victims of native aggression, and do the centuries long song and dance. They came in slaughtered, enslaved, and expanded fairly quickly. Europeans tended to conquer and ruled over other Europeans. Even the British in Africa and India were conquer and rule. Already made a comment about how all conquering isn't exactly the same.
