@robinhoode3875 There's no doubt that the ideology that they promote isn't supported by the vast majority of the British people and many people object to funding the BBCs activities. I think there should be an option to not pay the licence fee on moral grounds and perhaps donate the equivalent amount to a charity.

I don't think Elon Musk was right to label the BBC as government funded. Yes there is a bias but it's not a bias towards government policy. In fact I think in most cases their ideology is completely different to our current government's.

Throughout history religious groups and quasi-religious political activists have have been intolerant of other people's views and tried censor people views that aren't the same as their own. Intolerance seems to be universal and may well be part of our DNA.
