Best 007 line: Bond: "Do you expect me to talk?" Goldfinger: "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!"

Reagan: "Doctor, are you a Republican?" Doctor in operating room: "Today, Mr. President, we're all Republicans!"

Strangely yes! 😂

How about a video on how WWII leaders moved around for meetings and conferences without getting sunk or shot down? I've always wondered.

As a 10 year old, I had a model of Junkers Ju-52. I always thought it was pretty cool because of it having three engines and it's hammered metal finish.

Adolf outlived four other siblings. I did not know that. Apparently, that was normal at the time and why people had large families. The hope was that some would survive childhood.

My dad was at Hickham field in Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked. He didn't talk about it until a few years before his death. He died in 2012 at the age of 92. Definitely not the last but he did outlive quite a few and when he was gone I felt a piece of history died also.

@google gmail is a Chinese troll of the communist party. Maybe if the communists partied more, then they wouldn't be so pissed off all the time.
13
When I lived in Florida, almost everyone had a gun.
13
Kind of like the Doolittle raid on Tokyo. Did little tactical damage but reeked huge strategic damage on the enemy.
11
My dad was a Pearl Harbor survivor. Later on in life my mom told me that she could no longer sleep with him because while sleeping he would thrash his arms around in the middle of the night whacking her. He never realized what he did. He never talked about it until shortly before his death but he suffered silently with PTSD.

Be careful of what you wish for.

They couldn't just use Google maps like everyone else?

Great movie btw. It was originally meant as an anti war movie. If you watch carefully, you'll see that none of the characters really want to be "heros". Greed motivates and that greed was humorously turned into being perceived as patriotism. The greed even transcended borders.

I'm surprised that the Soviets didn't want to hang onto their gains in Iran in WWII.

In 23 years time, the released reports will be redacted so we'll never know.

Somebody's nose got bent! 😂

Featured in the movie "Come and See".

I had an 11th grade social studies teacher who would go off on tangents of why and how events of history happened. It got me interested in military history and the who, what, when, where and how things happen and not just take what is taught at face value.

What did you win?
4
And what did you win?

Pretty cool story. Amazing how simple things can take on a life of their own.

Had communist Russia not jumped on the band wagon and invaded Poland, Poland might actually have been able to fend off Germany.

$6 per week is like $100 per week in today's money or $2.50 per hour to put it in perspective.
3
Now if we would only do the same thing with communism, the world would be a better place.
3
It's bullshit as there were so many German pows that any system would have been overwhelmed just by shear numbers.
3
@5:34 Is that a Hitler bobblehead on the dash between them?? 😆😝😂
3
I wonder if he called people that he didn't like names like a ten year old just like his nephew does?
3
Not sure how I'm supposed to feel about that.
3
I wonder where these US supplied armaments will end up in the future?😂
3
When I went to school in the 1960's, our world history books stopped after WWII. 😂
3
A lot of late night bonfires too! 😂
3
I remember as a kid hearing the song "Sink the Bismark" on the radio.
3
So, what was his assessment? Why was it so important that he had to personally fly over an active combat zone? Isn't that why they had reconnaissance planes??
3
I've heard that Hitler had Jewish ancestry but I can not remember where unfortunately. It was dismissed as being a small percentage of his blood line and inconsequential.
3
Anyone else watch, and while watching think about which Hollywood actors would portray them?

Yes, Custer, one of our more infamous military leaders. Ironically, he served with distinction and honor in the American Civil war but at the Little Big Horn, he made every possible mistake that a military officer could make. - He split his forces...twice. - The individual units were out of touch with each other. - He underestimated the enemy strength and resolve. - He overestimated his own battle capabilities. - He had no retreat/escape plan. - He had no strategy of attack. - He had no knowledge of enemy location. - He had lack of knowledge of the surrounding terrain. Just a small list.😅
3
@8:34 Indeed he was responsible for Germany being flattened and entering a new world.
3
Imagine copying your hero/idol and then at the end of the war being mistaken for him? Sounds like a "Twilight Zone" episode!😅

Kangaroos: Basically a Sherman tank that had an unrepairable turret removed! 😂

Those huge roof overhangs say loads about the climate there! ❄🌨😂

$2-$3 million!? You gotta be $h!tt!ng me. Ukraine should then sell it and buy the 1 or 2 missiles that it would then be able to purchase with that money.

@1:29 What are those people holding up? They look like selfie sticks, lol.
2
Gun design: Like most inventions of the 20th century, they really haven't seen any revolution in design or function and have yet to be replaced by anything in the next step of evolution. I.e. the last revolutionary design of firearms was the case shell design of the bullet. They went from flintlock to percussion to shell. It has yet to be improved on. Airplanes went from piston driven to jet engines. They have yet to be improved on.
2
@6:10 The communists are good at copying but not good at innovation.
