  1. After WWII, most piston engine military aircraft were considered obsolete and scraped as jet powered aircraft were the new technology.

  2. Back in the 1960's when I was into model making, I actually had a model of the Junkers tri motor plane. Thought it was cool because of those three engines and the crinkly exterior.
