  1. My buddy and I both worked in the IT department for a NYS agency. When the second Gulf Oil war ended, we were discussing about how the US would not let anyone who worked for the Saddam regime work in civil service again. He thought that was good. Now, most people work in civil service jobs, no matter the government, because they are the most secure jobs (there will always be a government of some kind), and generally good pay and benefits. They just want to put food on the table like most people. I asked him, how would you feel if a foreign power took over NYS and then said that you could no longer work for the state government because you worked there under the previous state government? He demurred.

  2. @5:46 It's important to remember, and most people don't, that not all Germans were Nazis in WWII. Just as not all chinese belong to the communist party. Both the Nazis and communists are exclusive societies mostly for the elite. A lot of the common people don't even like them but are powerless to do much about it and go along with policies just to survive.
