Smart way to outwit theives is if you have $30,000 worth of equipment in your vehicle, DON'T LEAVE IT UNATTENDED!!! Btw, who would steal a GM car anyways, they're worthless junk and GM is stopping production because they are not selling. I never locked my Ford Taurus because it was the least stolen car in the U.S..

Premium and regular have nothing to do with clean. It has to do with octane. It's not so much an issue with modern cars as computers and electronics compensate for predetination or engine knock. In older vehicles, if you went up a hill and you had engine knock, one of the ways to compensate was to use premium fuel. I remember some guys mixing 100 octane airplane fuel with regular gas to boost engine performance. Long story short, if your car engine does not knock under load, use regular. If it does, switch to premium.

I used to be a 3000 mile man myself. Now that I'm retired, I don't drive as much and change oil twice a year. Changing your oil is cheap maintenance especially if you do it yourself. Old oil builds up contaminants and moisture which break down oil quality. Contaminants clog oil passages decreasing lubrication to critical areas of the engine. If you drive short distances or not much, condensation builds up in crankcase leading to corrosion of engine parts and saturating the quality and viscosity of your engine oil. Yes, frequent oil changes are cheap insurance of a well maintained engine. Yes, dealers are out to separate you from money in your wallet. But, I feel having your engine oil changed often is one exception. Educated consumers can get only the services they need.

My parents had a Fridgedarie refrigerator back in the mid 1950's. It outlasted 3 side by side refrigerators (Tappan, Admiral, and GE) and was still functioning after 45 years. Only thing it needed was a new door gasket as old rubber gasket dried out but kept everything cold and if turned up could double as a freezer.
