@MrThetrizzle and its worked so well. Strange. When the black panthers decided to use their rights under the 2nd. Bang ! Gun rights went out the window. I remember when the NRA was pushing for environmental laws to protect hunting areas and gun safety. Now it's about building fear of everyone around you. I haven't picked up a weapon since the service and have never found a need to since. My friends have plenty of guns. Also 3 suicides and several accidental shootings. So who is safer.

@nexus1g and how many times have you really needed it. You carry because you know there are armed people all around you. Every cop has it in his mind that everyone can be armed and responds accordingly. This just makes it more dangerous for the general public. They want everyone armed. Not to make us safe, but just to increase sales. The 2nd has been reduced to a selling tool for fear.

@nexus1g just the same way we have built bunkers and bug outs out of an unfounded fear that has never happened or will come about. We arm ourselves to feel safer. Yet feel even more under threat. Strange.

@nexus1g he also didn't believed that the union would last as long as it has or expect the federal system to have the power it has. We can recite the founding fathers all day long. Its the current reality we have to deal with. None of them could have seen this world coming to be.

@nexus1g I can agree on the first sentance. Bravery is how you should face adversity. However, we have restricted alot of things we found should not be in the public domain. Whats different with weapons ?

@nexus1g well thats what we are here to do. Give our opinion. I dont have all the answers, but i do know that the current state of mind in this country has been a disaster for everyone but the gun lobby.

@nietzschesmoustache3585 oh i dont know. Maybe im tired of the fear baiting the gun lobby has promoted. Maybe im tired of them blaming the victims after every shooting. Maybe im tired of being told that all we need is more guns and we will be safer. When its pretty obvious it does not. Maybe we should go back to the single shot muskets the founding fathers wrote the 2nd under.
