Pressured ? There shouldn't need to be any pressure. They should always be rejecting misinformation and outright lies.

@ericsteel173 I understand the 1st. Maximizing those rights are the goal we should always strive for. But i also understand that it must have limits. Lies and misinformation should never be allowed. Enough people already have an issue with maintaining their connection to reality.

@ericsteel173 And there is the problem. Both sides want limits, it's just what those limits are is the question. We just want the lies to stop and the other side can't survive without them. So what to we do ? 🤔 I would say us, but obviously that's not working. Half of the population is either gullible idiots or sociopathic wannabe tyrants. Fed on a diet of obviously false conspiracies. And now they are addicted to it. I would say the gov, but we change heads of state... so no. It seems that pressure on the companies and advertisers is all we have. How dangerous these lies are should be quite obvious. It's the reason we are here now. Deciding on if our democracy stands or falls. Only our enemies win if it falls. And we would throw away most of what we have accomplished so far. While maximizing free speech is the goal. Reality can't be thrown away in the process.
