  7. Most do not know that "THEY" cannot forgive student debt. At 6.7%, it's about the only debt that comes close to keeping up with inflation. And because bankruptcy is excluded, they are deemed secure -- even if they take forever to pay off. Lobby to allow bankruptcy again. Not everyone will qualify. But then the ratings on the debt will drop. And with fewer loans available -- students may have to qualify for loans based on Merit -- not need.
