  16. The Roman Catholic church says John Calvin was a heretic because he got saved and left the church. He then studied the Bible and exposed the many fallacies of the RC teachings! He and other Reformers like Martin Luther started the Reformation, where large numbers of people got saved and left the RC, anti Christ church. Some of the reformers were martyred by the Catholics. This is when Protestantism began. It comes from the word protest.
