Thank you for that comment - it is great to hear from experts in field, even if it's just couple of sentences, followed by how badly journalism reflects reality - especially when it comes to topics that are above average in complexity. I notice it in my field as well - even though I'm not exactly an expert (at least not compared to you). My father has ranted about this my whole life - which is interesting since his specialty is more in fine arts department. Which are supposedly "easier" than STEM. I remember once we took a preview of an article in his specialty to check it for errors. We gave up after counting 97 errors (including misspellings to be fair) on the first page - some very basic like having a wrong date, some really grievous that completely misrepresented what actually happened and could give a reader wrong idea. There are very few Journalists I trust in everyday stuff. There are no journalists I trust in specialty fields, unless they happen to be specialists that also write articles - but then they're not always good at communicating complicated stuff. I think Covert Cabal is one of the best (probably The Best) channels that deal in General Military analysis. While there are channels that cover some topics better - they usually specialize in certain field rather than being experts in broader topic. And don't listen to people who say you write too long. No one forces anyone to read. And yes - many people take YouTubers advice on COVID, rather than experts. Hence why we lost so many innocent people. Unfortunately it seems that ignorance is winning at record speed.
