  3. Grits thank you for your summary .I agree H would have been far better off if his cousin David Lindley had found him a job; David is a designer and producer of beautiful furniture and objects made of wood. It was always a highlight of the day when I visited his showroom in London.

  14.  @jeffrey3895  I think it could not have been staged because recent evidence is that the Car was hired from a French company to replace the Ritz vehicle which had broken down. The hire Car was obtained at short notice because Diana expressed a wish to leave the Ritz for Dodi's apartment . Unfortunately the Mercedes was not in a good condition and was not fit to be driven at all.

  16.  @tdwagner1  Your sources are wrong I am afraid. Andrew purchased a long lease on the terms I described and it is his failure to observe the terms which are at issue. Royal Lodge is a large property with approx 30 rooms and , I believe , 98 acres of gardens which is very expensive to run.

  39. Loyalty to Royalty only one problem MM appears to have been planning her return to the U S even before the wedding. I think the Royal family were shocked by the decision taken by the Harkles but we may never know if they jumped or if they were pushed.

You have to remember that H & M do not always make sensible decisions and they had already participated in negotiations which made them optimistic about their financial future . I can only suggest that neither H or M took into account the substantial perks they had as members of the Royal family particularly Security.

  49. What you say fits with the pattern and with the informal statements made by Givenchy staff . The wedding dress was designed to accommodate a bride who was 3 months pregnant while the second dress was not .
