@Benjamin Jagun What on earth are you talking about ? It was Doria who disappeared to a Federal Penitentiary and her father was left to take care of her until she went to College . Thanks to Thomas she had a typical upper middle class American life style but of course tries to pretend she didn't.

@blueberrylatte3097 I think MM is very cruel and is only interested in what she wants / desires. Charles needs to be sensible and to keep both her and H at a distance because she can never be trusted to behave in a decent manner particularly to the old ,the sick and the vulnerable .

Diana would have been upset by H's treatment of an elderly man .I like to think she would have investigated M's claim that she had a deprived and unhappy childhood and been able to help H see that his lady friend was not truthful . Diana was a needy person and she seemed to understand that human beings require human contact to help them recover from both physical and mental illness. May be H would have been less dependent on MM if his Mother had not been killed in an accident. We will never know but it is an interesting thought.

Rosa you are right and it is extremely hard to avoid thinking that King Charles is only tolerated by the Harkles because he is wealthy . Poor Thomas does not have the money he once had because he spent it on MM.

Janet why does he persist when MM has made her disdain very clear ? .MM thinks she is some type of goddess and will only honour certain people with her friendship namely billionaires like Tyler Perry and Oprah . The only letters she appears to reply too were also written by billionaires.
