I don't think this comes from the education system but a failure to explain to the person wanting gender reassignment that it will not help them and could reinforce their distress . Human beings think they are so clever but there are certain taboos that need to be recognised.

@hannofranz7973 gender is pretty simple it is what is in people's heads which makes it complicated.The world is in a pretty bad way when people think they have a right to change gender to improve their life .Life is hard whether you are male or female though reassignment surgery may well make matters worse for the patient .

@simonlloyd7557 I gather that the issue mainly concerns male to female sex change but why do men react in that way to Gynocentrism, feminism and man hating left wingers. I would have expected men to defend their corner rather than want to become women. I am afraid I just can't believe people who want to change sex understand the implications .
