  2.  @phoebegreig6523  I believe the lease contains provisions about maintenance of the Royal Lodge and that is an issue Charles is aware of. It appears a new roof is required and that is a very expensive project.

The Queen gifted the Harkles a 2 year lease renewable annually on Frogmore Cottage on the basis that they would be full time representatives of the Royal family. MM decided they could be better off in the U S A and announced Megxit in 2020 and indeed the last duty performed was in the early part of that year. It follows that the Harkles ceased to be full time representatives of the Monarchy in 2020 and it is about time that the decision was taken not to renew the lease. A valuable property should not be left empty for month after month and year after year particularly in a time when people are homeless .
