  1. Dizfan you can't actually compare Catherine with Diana .The current Princess of Wales has the benefit of a stable family background and a first class education. She had met her future husband at age 18 / 19 and they actually grew up together starting as friends .The relationship was a little inconsistent because they were both concerned about longevity and a genuine partnership but eventually they decided there was a future for them both within the Royal family ; Catherine was 29 years old and her fiance was a similar age .I think they were sensible to commit to the relationship but took the time to see how it developed. Hoping Catherine is fully recovered from her illness in time to enjoy Spring and Summer 2024 .

The two grandmother's were close friends and they promoted the match with disastrous consequences .Earl Spencer knew Diana had mental health problems and she needed to marry but he failed to take any steps to help her find suitable treatment.

  7.  @maidmarion2976  I am afraid the evidence does suggest Diana had mental health problems before Charles came on the scene .She had a horrible childhood and was desperately upset when her Mother was not awarded custody and when her father married Raine Spencer .
