Nancy has it not occurred to you that they would have been entitled to attend anyway. It does no harm to be gracious and pretend non attendance is down to security issues.

Anne Marie the thing to do is just treat the Harkles as a comedy duo .Have a good laugh at the stupid remarks and dressing like a Xmas tree but don't take seriously .

Anne Marie do not forget the Queen takes her Christian faith very seriously .She always has to consider that the Harkles may return to the fold and genuinely regret their behaviour. Alternatively her grandson may divorce Meganut and return to the UK; I do not know if they have offspring or not.

@chrissyballantyne4779 I sympathise with the points you make but with the benefit of hindsight H should have been told we have investigated M and these are the findings . If after reading the report and discussing it with William or your father you want to go ahead to marry her then the wedding will be at your expense. I think that might have made H think but really who knows.

@outsidepool4131 I agree it would be inappropriate to photograph H & M rather than the Royal Family on such an important occasion. Perhaps a different attitude might prevail if H is photographed playing Polo in California while M is busy hunting .

@nancycolbert2703 Sorry Nancy but I can't agree.A tourist to this country from the U S A can participate in the celebrations of the Jubilee and therefore how are you going to stop H & M just turning up if that is what they want to do.They could stay with cousin Eugene at Frogmoor and if they are ostracised the publicity would be pretty damaging.

@MarthaGarcia-uj1od Well if people think sensibly the family is now enormous and the balcony was not built to take the weight of so many human adults. It would be interesting to establish if professional advice was taken about weight bearing before the announcement was made.

@chrissyballantyne4779 It is a myth that Camilla and Charles envisaged a future together as Man & Wife. The truth is that Camilla became involved with Charles to make her lover ( Andrew Parker Bowles ) jealous and may be spur him on to marriage. Andrew was , at the time , having a relationship with Princess Anne . Charles for his part never thought marriage to Camilla was a possibility and I do not think such a thing was discussed with his family , friends or advisors.His posting to sea was perfectly normal and not a plot by his family . While he was at sea Charles received a letter from Camilla telling him that she was marrying Andrew which was a surprise but he did not try anything dramatic to prevent the marriage. Remember Camilla had a reputation and that is what scuppered her chances of marrying Charles and in any event she wanted Andrew at the time.

@outsidepool4131 I agree but it is perfectly possible they will not come at all because they are at risk with no proper security . Oh woe is me .Why are my family denying me the opportunity to celebrate with my grandmother? It will save them money if they don't come as the fees for the child substitutes will be zero.

Claire the Queen is a Christian and believes in forgiveness even for H & M .If they do come which I doubt and behave badly then it will reflect very badly on H & M but if they behave well it will justify the Queens kindness.

@BlazeCasey Just ignore both H & M and they may get the message. The Queen is 96 years of age and she has her faith and her record as an outstanding public servant to help her cope with a couple of grifters. I think she can get her message across to H but it was good of her to give him 15 minutes of her time.

@chrissyballantyne4779 I do not believe there was any discussion between Charles ,his family, friends or advisors about Camilla. She was not remotely considered to be Princess of Wales and in any event she wanted to marry Andrew Parker Bowles . When Charles was 17 he was at School in Scotland and I think he then started his Degree Course at Cambridge .Can't help but feel Simon is guilty of wishful thinking ; a romantic story of thwarted love is a bit different.

@Rose-eq1xm I do not like H & M because the clothes they sell are ,in my estimation , cheap and nasty. However there is clearly a market for rubbish and who are we to insist the stores are closed down. Let H & M come to the celebrations and see how deeply unpopular they are which ,with a bit of luck, will put them out of business in the UK . .
