  2. I think it is a bit rich for a Tory to ask a new Government to back down when the mess was created under their 14 years in power. It is suggested successive Tory Chancellors wanted to abolish the benefit but lacked the courage to do so . I very much regret that Rachel Reeves did not find it possible to deal with the black hole by raising the money another way .

  9.  @DavesGarden1714  Daves Garden what makes you think legal migrants need benefits ?The UK needs skilled people and there are job vacancies to be filled which has been true since 1945. When you are ill and need to see a Doctor aren't you pleased to be treated by a trained professional no matter where he / she was born ?

  11. ​ @cuuurlyfries5246 You do not know what Reform is capable of doing because they do not have a track record. Farage is the self elected leader of Reform and he was vocal in his support for Brexit which has proved to be a complete and utter disaster .

  13.  @cuuurlyfries5246  You must have been asleep. Haven't you heard about the job losses in the UK and the decline in exports to the E U. I believe the G D P of this country has declined and there are numerous complaints about the difficulties experienced by exporters .
