  1. ​ @carlairvine7082 Sharing a 4 bedroom house with 3 children and your husband is not ideal . It is known that William and Catherine do not have live in staff because space is limited .I think it is sensible to take the opportunity to make a good recovery in hospital before returning home .

  3.  @giraffe-neck2068  Unfortunately the house the family are living in can't accommodate additional staff .The Nanny who has been with them for at least 10 years is not living with them because Adelaide Cottage only has 4 bedrooms. If the hospital wanted Catherine to be discharged it might be sensible for her to take up residence in their country home but that would mean being separated from the children and William with little or no scope for family visits while the children are attending School .

  4.  @carlairvine7082  I think it very much depends on what the surgery was for and what the patients circumstances are .Catherine has 3 young children and to be honest it may be better for them if she gets some of her strength back before she returns home . I remember being very scared when my mother disappeared to hospital when I was 17 years old and I can't imagine how Catherine's three are coping at the moment. Clearly William was taken aback by the seriousness of the treatment and the lengthy stay in hospital.

  7.  @maryok4099  I think sensible people are happy to be in hospital if that is what the Doctor recommends. Catherine is keeping in touch with her children through the computer system, she is doing some work and has had plenty of visitors. I applaud her for her disciplined approach to this unpredictable event in her life .
