  5.  @Kevinschart  The Soviet Union broke up and independent countries were formed including Ukraine .Putin ignores the legal framework created by the dissolution and like a child wants to turn the clock back to the old days of the U S S R .The World has moved on and only Putin wants to go back to the Soviet Empire where he is King . He is not afraid of NATO or of a militant Ukraine and is merely pretending that there is an issue. I agree with Biden he has to stand down as President of Russia and appear in the Hague to answer charges of War Crimes in Syria and Ukraine. Humanity has to stop this violence and countries need to work together .

Biden has been criticised for suggesting Putin needs to be replaced as Head of State but I think he is right. There is no relationship of trust between Russia and other World Powers given Putin denied there would be conflict in the Ukraine .

  12.  @Andrewf5251  Where do you get the information that the Ukraine bombed parts of the border region ? The fact remains that Ukraine is an independent country and any issues with Russia could have been dealt with by the UN rather than by tanks and missiles .

Putin is not a leader but a gangster who puts his own financial prosperity before the needs of Russia. He is one of the richest men in the World with palaces, yachts etc and surrounds himself with wealthy Oligarchs who are allied to him. End the corruption and the rule of the Putin Mafia.

It was in fact Russia who invaded Ukraine and stole the Crimea in 2014. Basically you can't trust Putin ; he is the man who said these 150,000 troops on your border are on exercise.There will not be a War .

  21. yulio NATO has been very careful not to offend Putin over the years but the man is a monster. He needs to be removed from power as a matter of urgency and replaced by a young , well educated and tech savvy person with a Moral Code.

  23. @Natan When partners do not agree they talk it through and the minority view can be adjusted when all the relevant facts are explored. Factors to be taken into account are military strength,economic activity , weapons availability, geography and intelligence implications.

  25. @Shruti Sinha It was inevitable that Russia would use its Oil and Gas to pressurise Europe but sometimes you have to do the right thing and take the pain. Clearly the German Chancellor Merkel made a strategic error making her country dependant on Russia and she ought to be investigated .

  30.  @επιθετικόακτινιδιο  Has it occurred to you that NATO does not want to be involved with Ukraine but has been forced into helping by Putin.The invasion of Ukraine can't be isolated from the NATO countries and the scenario is that there is danger for Poland, Hungary etc if Putin is not stopped now. I am perfectly capable of breathing and writing but you been to take your brain and dust it down before it seizes up completely .

  33. Has NATO built a base in Ukraine and installed Nuclear Missiles ? The Russians secretly built a base and were ready to install missiles trained on the U S A .This action was akin to a declaration of War and had to be dealt with as a matter of urgency. Surely Russia should have signed a non aggression Pact with the U S A long ago and built up its economy rather than its military .May be Putin is just a greedy cold war warrior rather than a politician.

  40.  @mickowens9839  8 years ago Russia took Crimea and that was treated as a warning to Ukraine .There were also incursions into the border regions of Ukraine and interference from Moscow in Ukraine internal affairs. In such circumstances most any country asks for practical help .

  42. Shivam the people of Ukraine did not expect a Russian invasion because of the common bond between the two peoples.After all when you give up your Nuclear weapons and sign a Peace Treaty it is not too much to expect that you are safe from attack.
