Norwood I don't think Israel was a sleeping giant but it does believe in revenge and that is what we are currently seeing .

@mathisnotforthefaintofheart The Jewish settlers were not entitled to kick out the Palestinians and I am not aware that the Holocaust involved the Palestinians at all. I agree that this conflict does not reflect well on the Jewish state but the situation will not be improved if Hamas continues to use extreme violence .

@mathisnotforthefaintofheart The answer is to use International Law and punish the people who brought death and destruction to the innocents .More violence is never the answer as it just creates more hate which is passed from generation to generation.
