  34.  @jamesjoinson761  The King is the U K head of State and all the Laws passed by Parliament require Royal Assent .This is why , on a daily basis, the King receives state papers which he is required to review and where necessary to comment upon. He is also required to keep up to date on foreign affairs which involves his scrutiny of Foreign Office reports and obviously he is interested in the Commonwealth. As you are no doubt aware members of the Royal family , including the King and Queen Consort visit Nations the U K has relations with and those visits require meticulous planning if they are to be successful.In 2023 State Visits were made to Germany and France but the Government papers continue to be delivered no matter what the Monarch is doing or where he / she may be. In addition to the Government business the King is required to monitor the finances of the Duchy of Lancaster and he no doubt is advised of any issues arising from the various Charities he is interested in .Queen Elizabeth was working right up to the end of her long life and her eldest son has the same conscientious approach. Despite the Monarchs heavy work load other engagements have to be included in the Diary including State Visits to the U K , the greeting of newly appointed Ambassadors ,the presentation of honours , garden parties etc etc . I may well have forgotten some duties but I hope you find my brief description useful .

  39. It was not a funeral but a Memorial Service and obviously something unexpected happened which caused William to reschedule his diary. I think these things happen and mischief makers want to make an absurd fuss because they have nothing better to do.
