  21. I think Boris did dither because he he wanted to escape responsibility. His non attendance at Cobra meetings was deliberate and part of his evasion of Prime Ministerial decision making .There was no way Boris could please his girl friend and his senior advisor so he kept on prevaricating even though it was the wrong thing to do for the U K.

  31. If there is natural gas off the Gaza coast then the Palestinians could be assisted to exploit that resource and rebuild the infrastructure from the proceeds. I do not see why Israel and the U S A should dictate terms to anyone given that they are both governed by corrupt people .

  36.  @paulvsmith  We have taken a politicians self appraisal as the truth too many times for example Blair, Cameron and Johnson.Why don't we ask for independent appraisals of prospective leaders before casting our vote .I am not suggesting 100% success for this method but we might have a better chance of success. Johnson track record of living his life might have given some clues as to his reliability.
