If Andrew can't afford the repairs required then he will have broken the terms of the lease .It follows that he can then be given notice by the officials who manage the Royal Estate .Surely his ex wife who lives with him at Royal Lodge can talk some sense to him and persuade him that what he has been offered is reasonable.

  2.  @nickislade5533  What you say about the state of Royal Lodge does not reconcile with other views as various problems have been identified including the state of the roof and damp . It is my understanding that Sarah has completed her Cancer treatment but even if she has not Frogmoor Cottage is perfectly comfortable and convenient.

  6.  @patking754  I am aware of the Mayfair property and gather the purchase was financed by the sons in law. Sarah will always be taken care of by her daughters but clearly she is comfortable at Royal Lodge .
