@rell127 There is too much respect in the U S A for the Constitution and the Founding Fathers .Times have changed and modern technology is so advanced that it makes nonsense of for example the right to bear arms .

@kathryncarlstrom5506 I agree Clarence Thomas and his wife need to be dealt with and the F BI needs to explain why it did not investigate a Supreme Court nominee properly . Given the influence wielded by the Supreme Court it is not acceptable for its membership to have jobs for life .

@rell127 For self protection you do not need a lethal weapon. Why do people buy sophisticated and high powered rifles which are designed for the military not the average householder.Are the forces of law and order in the U S A fit for purpose ? Should there be a rethink about Health Services in the U S A given that mental health issues appear to be connected to gun crime ? The time has come for a drastic rethink of society in the U S A and an abandonment of business as usual .

@nadiamccall4311 I agree it is a shock to find someone who is wanting to be a Supreme Court Judge is a liar .Clearly Trump wanted Kavanaugh to be selected and that is why the investigation of his past was not exactly thorough .

Lorie I think you are right. I saw the proceedings involving Kavanaugh on television and thought he came across as dishonest.

@kane357lynch The difficulty she had was the time that had passed .I found her testimony compelling and Kavanaugh did not come over as an honest man.I think he had a drink problem when he was a student and he did not want to acknowledge that .

@HomeAtLast501 Well they could have wanted Trump to trap himself which seems rather clever but cynical. The very sight and sound of the President praising a violent mob and watching T V is pretty soul destroying particularly his praise of the hanging of his Vice President Mike Pence.

@HomeAtLast501 Well I do not have a high opinion of the F B I and it seems Trump was rather careless / stupid if his plot was so easy to detect . Presumably the plot was penetrated at an early stage by undercover officers .Pity people had to die or be injured just because Trump could not face reality.
