The cop runs around and jumps in front of the bike from behind his car. There was no time for the bike to stop. There is literally no space for the bike to go other than into the police officer. The police car is on one side of the and the curb is on the other. The bikes still stopped, just not before hitting the officer. If you had intended on hitting the officer he could have accelerated through him and continued on instead of having his bike drop on the pavement. That's probably why they didn't charge him with assaulting a peace officer.

Even the Uber driver said she was so drunk she probably doesn't even remember anything she said that night and he wanted to drop her off on some unknown side street where she had no idea where she was. This idiot driver didn't know where he was going. Doesn't sound like either party did anything illegal but of the two of them only one of them has a reasonable excuse for being an ass hat.

I think it's highly improbable that this upstanding sergeant is among the 40% of law enforcement employees who abuse their spouses and children. Of course I might be wrong. 🤔
