  2. That’s the problem with aftermarket parts and the manufacturers not giving a cross reference to other year models. You get junk parts. Just because it says “Assembled” or “Built” in the USA doesn’t mean the materials were made in the USA. I will bet a years wages that the steel for the driveshaft is either Canadian or Chinesium. I made the fenders for the old Pontiac Sunfires and Chevy Cavaliers. They were “Made in the USA” but it was Canadian steel. Crappiest steel you’d ever see. Hard marks like crazy no matter what ya did.

I get that the driveshaft doesn’t vibrate because of being balanced, however, the elliptical motion of the driveshaft being bent, could cause potential damage to the pinion bearings and carrier bearing. Balancing is only intended to compensate for thickness variations making the shaft unbalanced. A bent shaft tube is not a thickness variation.
