you rarely get this kind of positive coverage on indonesia from the western media who constantly spread vitriol on countries not on their side - even neutral ones.

@oo-xk5dc yep, even so you dont see as much vitriol abt the west. if you have lived in other countries, the local media arent obsessed with constantly reporting negative aspects of enemy countries although the verbage is crude.

at least in the us and au, they cant stop rambling abt china russia. in the past it used to be iran and north korea. go back a bit further japan and saudi.

@drunkenmonkey1887 general mainstream is very different from niche segments. no other msm except the west reminds their viewers of 60 yo massacres or some suppression 30 yrs ago when their own had directly massacred in the millions over the last 2 decades. thats excluding the infiltrations and insurgency funding. even my impression of indonesia was distorted until i arrived here for business. with the exception of a few pushy peddlers, it's so safe even at night.
