  3. that would make NATO redundant. What is the point of collective defence, if every member is a superpower. If Germany started to spend 4% on defence, then they would be spending 2x more than russia.

  4. and the US will soon start to undermine most of these efforts, once they realize that Europe won't really need the US anymore. Can't be the "leader of the free world" if such a leader is no longer needed...
