why would anyone care about brics? It's just another useless forum where some leaders can have their photo taken. It's kinda like G20, but even more useless.

@Tititateo63 if more than 1 great power exists, there will be conflict between them. Everyone else can either choose a side or be neutral. But neutral countries are potential battlegrounds for proxywars. That is how the world works...

@protagonist9716 growth can be misleading. If you have $10, and you earn $1, then your economy grows 10%. If I have $100 and i earn $2, then my economy grows 2%. So you have higher growth, but i am clearly doing better. This is why developed countries tend to have lower growth than developing countries.

@protagonist9716 that is not how it works. The developing countries will become developed and have lower growth themselves. China's growth dropped from a high of 15% to 5-6% as the country developed.

@protagonist9716 only because China's population is larger than all those countries combined. Germany's gdp per capita is still 4x larger than China's. And another thing to remember is that much of China's growth is built on exports to the west. In this "multipolar" world, that is probably gonna end....
