  7.  @seanlander9321  22M m3 of LNG is around 12 BCM of natural gas. The EU consumes around 400 BCM per year.

  8.  @BatkoNasBandera91  my point is that the increased imports of russian LNG is not that significant. Overall imports of russian gas are still reduced by 2/3 in less than 2 years. It will probably take another year or 2 to fully replace russian gas, and then we can focus on the "cheaters".

  12. EU didn't buy much russian LNG before the war, since there was pipelines. If you have $2 and you get $1, that's a 50% increase. But it is still a very small amount.

  18.  @fingerprint8479  russia's neighbors have applied for NATO membership, because they feel threatened by russia. If russia could stop invading their neighbors, there would be no need for NATO.

  19.  @Gerrard_Pike2008  russia used to supply around 40%, that is the same amount that was used for power generation. So russian gas can be replaced by any energy source, such as solar, wind, nuclear, hydro-electric, coal, biogas or even wood pellets. And we can increase imports from other countries, such as Norway who are supplying half of Germany's gas imports in 2023. It's not that hard, it just takes time to build up new supply chains.
