Do please tell us the names of every politician that resigned for "such indiscretions." This is going to be very educational because I have been involved in politics in a small way for a long time, and can tell you NO ONE ever resigned from office over a mere fine!! PS Well here we have the actual truth I just searched for "minister resigning over revceiving a fine," and guess what? I found out you have lied on your post. NO MINISTER, or even Prime minister has ever resigned over a fine being issued in their name!! Do blow off somewhere else with your stupid remarks.

@EngrzView No minister or prime minister has ever resigned over receiving a fine. If they did then every politician in the UK would have to resign right now, because ALL of them (no matter which party they belong to, including most SNP members) have received fines for speeding. If you look up Jeremy Clarkson interviewing a Labour transport secretary over points on a License, you will see him admit to having then 9 points on his license (three speeding fines), and he won't admit how many more over his driving time. So this is not worth even putting on the left wing news.

@steveparker8065 Oh so it's perfectly alright for Labour MP's to multiple times break speeding rules, but a Tory breaks some stupid Covid law, and all hell breaks out.

@steveparker8065 Typical Labour hypocrit. I bet I can find at least 3 laws you have broken, and not just speeding (which is also a criminal offence, and almost all MP's have speeding fines). Just because you don't know you may have broken a law from 500 years ago that has never been removed from the statute books makes you the type of hypocrit I honestly hate.

@davetorcan6047 Oh really? When exactly? Do please tell all, because you are lying now!! This is your comment : "davetorca N 1 hour ago Yes i remember days when PM/Pres would say ' Buck stops with me" "

@davidbrussard-composer7372 Does your work sack you if you get a speeding fine? It is exactly the same thing. There are what are called reportabe offences, and almost any business will sack you for that, and none reportable, which means minor, in which your work place are not interested at all full stop. The civil service is no different to your work place, Boris is just the most senior civil sevant in the land as the Queen's Prime minister. Your hypocrisy is very self eviodent here.

So I am going to say here anyone who says they should be forced to resign, or any other comment along those lines really needs to look at themselves, you are all hypocrits. You are all being tea pot calling the Kettle black. My guess is pretty much no one who comments on here has not at some time broken a law. The people making comments about how bad this is are just hypocrits. Remember this if you tell me you have never broken the law, I will simply call you a liar, just because you don't know which laws you have broken doesn't make you a better person, and able to comment here. EVERY BRITISH PERSON WHO COMMENTS ON HERE WILL HAVE BROKEN SOME OLD ARCHAIC BRITISH LAW THAT IS STILL IN EXISTENCE TODAY. Ignorance of the existence of a law does not make breaking it OK!
