In Japan, schools sometimes have gym meetings with all students to discuss bullying. I don't think this has any impact because bullying happens again, even after the school has the school meeting.

Kids keep it a secret until it just explodes...i guess telling people you are being bullied shames you. T.T They need to teach kids that it's OK to come out and say you're being bullied, maybe that will help things. You know dam sure something will get done if some high official's kid commits suicide due to bullying. very sad.

@user-jn2ce6jh1w True...but do asian or hispanic lives matter too??

@plzleavemealone9660 Pretty much. It has to go deeper in the process. Parents have to teach their kids. The meetings don’t really do anything and only for show, you’re right. It’s very hard for kids to say STOP, so they hold it in. The bullied ones end up committing suicide usually. Teachers can say anything they want, but unless it gets addressed by the higher ups and the bully’s parents, nothing will happen. Known issue but nothing is being done seriously to stop it. :(

True. One thing i find sad is when ppl say Japanese are not having sex which is clearly not true. Love hotels are dotted everywhere in the country and during holidays they are booked. You also have a lot of sex workers/delivery sex workers. If nobody was getting it on, those girls would be out of a job. :P

I lived there for 7 years working at many schools. I’ve seen bullying and schools often have anti bullying student meetings, but these are prob for show. They have little effect. The govt isn’t strict on bullying. Suicides are common due to it. :((
