  1. Interesting fact in China. If you steal an endangered or rare bird, you get MORE jail time than if you would traffic or kidnap a woman/child in China. Drug dealers can face execution yet people that kidnap women get a slap on the wrist/minimal jail time plus maybe a fine. The people responsible for chaining the woman up in a village didn't really get punished. During the Olympics, this was all shadowed out to not add to negative publicity for China. Eileen Gu's rising popularity was also at the same time, she said nothing about this.. Heaven forbid you use your star fame and popularity to help rather than serve your own needs for financial gain and increase your own ego/popularity.
