No, Matt is right. It's disgusting how, for the sake of virtue signalling, we'll report a teenager who agrees to sex as "raped" just the same we'd report a teenage violently forced into sex as "raped." Even if we accept teenager consent is not informed consent because of their immaturity, we all still know a "yes" from a 15 year old is a lot closer in moral worth to a "yes" from an 18 year old than "no" form anyone. Having sex with an unconscious person is rape. Having sex with an 18 year old is not. Which is a 15 year old closer to in terms of sapience? An unconscious person, or an 18 year old?

Also, saying it’s a social construct is absolutely right and everyone here knows it. 18 as the age of adulthood is completely arbitrary and has no basis in biology, which is why no society in the entire world had it as a cut off for adulthood prior to the industrial age. That’s simply a fact. It’s as arbitrary as the drinking age or a speed limit and no intellectually honest person can deny that. Am I against speed limits? No. But I know they’re arbitrary numbers.

Matt may not have phrased it the best way, he was still young and new to punditry, but there are 7.1 billion people, and deep down every one of them agrees with Matt Walsh. There is nobody, I really mean nobody, who thinks having sex with a teenager that would be "consenual" if not for his/her age, is morally equivalent to sex that is forced. Nobody. Just to show I can prove this, not that I need to: Sex with an unconscious body is an equal crime to violent rape (some would say lesser but we'll ignore those people for simplicity's sake). Sex with an 18 year old is not a crime. A 15 year old boy is much closer in sapience to an 18 year old than an unconscious body. Even animals, who are dumber than two years olds, are not understood to be abused by being allowed to be sexual active. Yet certainly anyone would argue that an animal who's pinned down and trying to get away while being raped is being abused. So that means even when dealing with a mind as primitive and uniformed as an animal's, "yes" still means something.
