  1. It was typical to work 60 - 70 hours a week back then, free or slave. Slavery was a great injustice but a lot of people don't realize how rough life was even for free people for most of human history.

  5. You can't let one slave plantation outweigh the rest of his life. Winning America's freedom and then peacefully ceding power set a precedent in politics that changed the world forever.
