  2. What makes gender dysphoria a mental disorder but not homosexuality? Both groups show drastically increased suicidality. Both have to rely on medicine or society to compensate their biological shortcomings (for example, gay couples need outside help to make children, trans women need to construct their breasts artificially). Both groups have a drastically diminished dating pool. Rationally speaking, homosexuality is a mental disorder.

A study in Canada showed gay and bisexual suicide rates have been stagnant, actually slightly increasing, over the past 20 years. This is while homosexual acceptance has skyrocketed. Tell me, does it not get to you you cannot have a natural child with your partner? My sister spent tens of thousands of dollars to correct this problem. 99.9% of people are not gonna kill themselves just because they can't have kids, but 99.9% of people are not going to kill themselves because they have ADHD. That doesn't change the fact its a mental disorder. Fine, fair point about bisexuals, they actually have a larger dating pool. Maybe that's not it. But the suicide rates speak for themselves. Again, if it's all about peer acceptance, why has the suicide rate remained stagnant while homosexual acceptance has drastically increased? Just because you don't think your condition, whatever that may be, decreasing your happiness, doesn't mean it doesn't. Many things that bring us suffering are extremely counter-intuitive. For example, most people think paradise would be eternal relaxation, but in fact study after study after study confirms work is a key ingredient to happiness.

You say suicide rates are due to families not being accepting, but a study in Canada shows they've remained stagnant (actually increased slightly) over the past two years, while homosexual acceptance has skyrocketed. Even if homosexuality is natural, that has no bearing on the question. Autism is natural. It's understood to be innate, does that mean its not a disorder? I don't know where I said only heterosexuals should be allowed to adopt. Plenty of people with mental disorders are parents. Plenty of people with mental disorders are also happy. Plenty of trans people are happy. That doesn't change anything.
