  1. In my impression, men and women have different beauty standards in Japan. Women fashion magazines are trying to sell clothing, cosmetics, or shoes to women. But if you wish to know what sells for men, I would say look at race queens, male magazines, porn actresses, etc. The popular ones with men are almost always not skinny.
